Frances O’Dwyer – A Dreamer’s Dream.

A Dreamer’s Dream.

By Frances O’Dwyer

I dream of a black sea
Full of nothing but muchness,
Dreams of souls gone dry
And promises made of precious little lies.
Where sadness is happiness
And clarity is rare.

I dream of a grey sky,
Where birds don’t fly
And nothing can rise,
Therefore nothing can fall.
There she stands with,
Her whole world in her hands.

I dream of a world,
The one she lost
When a wind came along
And took it, blowing.
Lost in her thoughts,
She may never be found.

I dream of a forest
Where branches are low
And heads are high.
Pride.
Cut and hurt
She is free.

I dream of a black sea,
Where levels stay the same,
Surrounded by a forest
And the sky is always grey.
There she stands;
My whole world in her hands.
