Maebh Madden – Prison Ship

Prison Ship

By Maebh Madden

I watched the prison ship sail across the sea,
Made no sound, as silent as can be.
The sails blowing,
The water rippling,
The sun on the horizon,
The prisoners bored wishing to be free.
My dad has gone, banished across the sea,
Life will never be the same for me.
